Medicaid is a type of medical health insurance available for individuals who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to acquire this government funded insurance. Whether or not someone is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only depend upon income however, and people shouldn't assume they don't qualify simply because they earn a good income. For instance, men and women who have quite a few dependents may be entitled to Medicaid regardless of whether they earn what would be described as a fair income. There are several drug and alcohol rehab programs which accept Medicaid, but various states have distinct guidelines for what types of rehabilitation are covered. Some states only cover outpatient rehab services as an example while other states cover more extensive treatment such as a residential stay in long-term alcohol and drug rehab program. If somebody is involved in drug use and wants help, they are able to use their Medicaid insurance coverage to get this help. If they don't have Medicaid and in addition don't have enough cash or some other kind of health care insurance to cover rehabilitation, they could determine if they qualify for Medicaid and then enroll in an alcohol and drug rehab program that is approved inside their state.
