TRICARE is medical health insurance which is offered to folks in the military of the United States. Drug and alcohol use within the military is a lot more common than one would think, and the need to offer treatment to these individuals is a priority. TRICARE covers a variety of rehabilitation services to handle alcohol and drug dependence including detox services, and also treatment in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient programs. Individuals with TRICARE will obviously need to obtain a prior authorization before partaking in any sort of rehab service, which may be arranged using a regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient facility could be the preferred rehab option, TRICARE will cover a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in that program per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits regarding how much time a TRICARE member can stay within an inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30 to 45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family counselling that may be very useful, as it could help include family members in the healing and process of recovery. No member of the military should fight this battle alone, and there are skilled treatment counselors waiting to help you today.
