Medicare is a form of medical health insurance developed by the federal government for seniors, and also those that have specific disabilities and sicknesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehab for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The one catch is, the individual will need to receive treatment coming from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start rehab, they can also get to visit their medical doctor who must declare that treatment services are medically needed, and the doctor will usually approve what sort of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehab providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual has to be hospitalized because of their problem, as well as the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance or they will have to self pay.
