Treatment counselors will continue to work to identify environmental issues in the client's life including negative relationships or any other things that should be addressed in order for the person to stay mentally stable and sober t once they leave dual diagnosis rehab. Dual diagnosis clients also benefit from behavioral rehabilitation which will help them develop more efficient coping mechanisms so they are better able to handle life circumstances more proficiently if they depart dual diagnosis rehab instead of returning to drugs and alcohol as a possible option.
