Medicare is a kind of medical health insurance created by the federal government for older folks, along with people with specific disabilities and sicknesses. If someone who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The one catch is, the person will need to obtain treatment from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start rehabilitation, they will also have to visit their medical doctor who must state that rehabilitation services are medically essential, and the physician will generally approve what type of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehab providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center in the event that the individual should be hospitalized for problem, as well as the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
