Medicare is a kind of medical health insurance designed by the federal government for seniors, as well as people with specific disabilities and diseases. If an individual that has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only real exception is, the individual must receive treatment from the alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start rehab, they may also have to visit their primary care physician who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically essential, and the doctor will typically approve what type of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual should be hospitalized for his or her problem, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they will have to self pay.
