Such issues may pertain to sexual abuse, physical abuse, mental abuse, eating disorders, one's family members and being a mother, or any other really serious issues which are specific to women. After this step, counselors help women target both standard and gender-specific concerns which may have prompted their substance abuse. Women also utilize the constructive support from other female peers, and several centers that offer rehabilitation services to women provide client beds for her children.
