A group home for somebody who has tbeen involved with alcohol and drug abuse is a place which offers continual support and help for individuals in recovery. A group home is ordinarily for troubled youth, but in addition there are group homes for those with a mental health problem or who are encountering behavioral difficulties for example. As an alternative to sending individuals who are being affected by drug abusedrug use or recovering from drug abuse to an orphanage, asylum or other similar place, a group home can help offer an acceptable environment to help individuals sustain stability within their lives and still have counsel and assistance at their fingertips around the clock. Residents inside a group home may be taking part in rehab services while in residence, or could be taking steps to get their life setup outside the group home in order to at some point live independently not in the group home.
