Dual diagnosis rehabs are programs which deliver rehab to handle both addiction and mental health issues at the same time. Rehab counselors will work to recognize environmental issues in the client's life such as negative people in their lives or other things that need to be addressed in order for the person to be mentally stable and sober t once they leave dual diagnosis rehab. Dual diagnosis clients also benefit from behavioral rehab which helps them develop more effective coping methods so that they are better able to handle life situations more effectively when they depart dual diagnosis rehab as opposed to turning to drugs and alcohol as a possible option.
