TRICARE is medical health insurance that is offered to people in the military of the United States. Drug abuse inside the military is more common than one would imagine, and the necessity to offer treatment to these individuals is a vital priority. TRICARE covers a variety of rehabilitation services to cope with alcohol and drug dependence such as detoxification services, in addition to treatment in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. People who have TRICARE will of course have to get a prior approval before taking part in any type of rehab service, which may be arranged using their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient program will be the preferred rehab choice, TRICARE will cover a three week period or one inpatient stay in this center per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are certain limits about just how long a TRICARE member can remain in an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30 to 45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment which can be very useful, as it can certainly help include loved ones in the healing and process of recovery.
