Medicaid is a form of health care insurance available for individuals who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to obtain this government provided insurance coverage. Whether someone is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only depend on income however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify simply because they earn an acceptable income. Some states only cover outpatient treatment services for instance while other states cover more extensive treatment such as a residential stay in long-term drug and alcohol rehab center. If anyone is involved with drug abuse and wants help, they could use their Medicaid health coverage to get this treatment. If they do not have Medicaid and in addition don't have the cash or any other kind of health insurance to pay for rehabilitation, they could determine if they qualify for Medicaid and then enroll in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility that's approved in their state.
