Medicare is a sort of health care insurance created by the government for older folks, along with those that have specific disabilities and diseases. If someone who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only real exception is, the person will need to receive treatment from the drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to commence rehab, they may also have to visit their doctor who must state that rehab services are medically necessary, and the physician will generally approve what type of rehabilitation the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment services. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual must be hospitalized for his or her problem, along with the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment in a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
