Medicare is a form of health care insurance created by the government for senior citizens, in addition to people who have specific disabilities and illnesses. When someone who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their treatment will either be covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The one exception is, the individual will have to obtain treatment from the drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to begin rehab, they can also get to see their primary care physician who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically essential, and the doctor will generally approve what sort of treatment the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehabilitation services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual should be hospitalized for problem, and also the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
