Medicare is a form of medical insurance designed by the government for older folks, along with individuals with specific disabilities and sicknesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The one exception is, the person will have to receive treatment from the drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to begin treatment, they may also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the doctor will typically approve what type of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehab providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual needs to be in a hospital for issue, and the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they'll have to self pay.
