Medicare is a type of health care insurance designed by the government for older folks, in addition to people with specific disabilities and illnesses. If a person who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a great degree. The one exception is, the individual will have to receive treatment from the drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to commence rehab, they will also have to visit their primary care physician who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically essential, and the physician will typically approve what sort of rehabilitation the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment solutions. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual needs to be hospitalized for his or her problem, along with the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
