Medicare is a form of medical insurance designed by the U.S. government for seniors, in addition to people who have certain disabilities and diseases. If a person who has Medicare needs rehab for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The one catch is, the individual will have to acquire treatment coming from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to commence rehabilitation, they may also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that treatment services are medically needed, and the physician will typically approve which kind of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehab services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual must be hospitalized because of their issue, along with the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital.
