Medicaid is a form of health insurance available for many people who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to acquire this government funded insurance coverage. Whether a person is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only depend on income however, and people shouldn't assume they don't qualify simply because they earn a fair income. As an example, people who have a lot of dependents may be eligible for Medicaid regardless of whether they earn an amount certainly be a fair income. Medicaid may also cover the costs of rehabilitation, if a person has been abusing alcohol or drugs and needs treatment. There are many drug and alcohol rehab programs which accept Medicaid, but different states have distinct guidelines for what types of treatment are covered. Some states only cover outpatient rehabilitation services for example while other states cover far more extensive rehabilitation such as a residential stay in long-term drug and alcohol treatment center. If anyone is involved in drug use and needs help, they're able to use their Medicaid insurance coverage to obtain this help. If they don't have Medicaid plus don't have the cash or any other form of medical health insurance to pay for rehab, they can determine if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then enroll in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation facility that's approved inside their state.
