Medicaid is a form of health insurance available for many people who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to obtain this government funded insurance. Whether or not someone is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only determined by their earnings however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify just because they earn a reasonable income. Some states only include outpatient rehabilitation services for instance while other states cover far more extensive treatment like a residential stay in long-term drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. If a person is involved in drug abuse and wants help, they can use their Medicaid insurance coverage to obtain this treatment. If they don't have Medicaid and also don't have the funds or another kind of health care insurance to pay for rehabilitation, they could determine if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then sign up for an alcohol and drug rehab facility which is approved in their state.
