Self pay is sometimes the only option for individuals who need rehabilitation in the alcohol and drug rehabilitation center for substance abuse but have zero medical insurance. It isn't uncommon for an individual hooked on alcohol or drugs to not have private medical health insurance, as it can be challenging to keep an alcohol or drug habit going while also sustaining employment.
