Medicare is a form of medical insurance designed by the government for senior citizens, in addition to those that have certain disabilities and diseases. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehab for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only real catch is, the person will have to acquire treatment from the alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start treatment, they may also have to visit their doctor who must state that treatment services are medically necessary, and the doctor will generally approve what type of rehabilitation the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehab services. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual should be hospitalized for his or her issue, as well as the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they've got to self pay.
