Sadly, it is a fact that tens of millions of people choose to operate a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Agreeing or obliging to participate in alcohol and drug rehabilitation as a DUI/DWI Offender may not completely eradicate other consequences from the crime, but sometimes decrease the seriousness of such consequences to some large degree. Particularly if the person willingly participates in drug rehab and is a first time offender. Research indicates that a large percentage of those who do receive alcohol and drug treatment because of a DUI/DWI offense stay out of the court system for similar charges in the future.
