Medicaid is a form of medical insurance available for those who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to acquire this government provided insurance. Whether someone is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only depend on income however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify because they earn a good income. For example, individuals who have quite a few dependents may be eligible for Medicaid even if they earn what would be described as a reasonable income. Medicaid may also cover the price of rehabilitation, if a person has been abusing alcohol or drugs and requires rehabilitation. There are many drug rehab facilities which accept Medicaid, but different states have distinct rules for what forms of rehab are covered. Certain states only cover outpatient treatment services as an example while other states cover more extensive rehab like a residential stay in long-term drug and alcohol rehab program. If a person is involved with drug use and needs help, they can use their Medicaid insurance coverage to obtain this help. If they do not have Medicaid and in addition don't have enough cash or some other type of medical insurance to cover treatment, they could find out if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then sign up for a drug rehabilitation facility that's approved inside their state.
