Medicare is a form of health insurance designed by the government for older folks, as well as those that have certain disabilities and illnesses. When someone who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The only real exception is, the individual must obtain treatment from your drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start treatment, they will also have to see their physician who must declare that rehab services are medically necessary, and the doctor will typically approve what type of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation services. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program in the event that the individual has to be hospitalized for their issue, and the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
