TRICARE is health care insurance that is provided to members of the military of the United States. TRICARE covers a variety of treatment services to handle drug and alcohol dependence such as detox services, along with rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient programs. People who have TRICARE will naturally be asked to obtain a prior approval before partaking in any kind of treatment service, that may be arranged using a regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient center could be the preferred treatment option, TRICARE will cover a three week period or one inpatient stay in such a program per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are specific limits concerning how long a TRICARE member can stay in an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30 to 45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment which may be very helpful, as it can help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No member of the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are skilled rehab counselors waiting to help today.
