Dual diagnosis rehabs are centers which provide rehabilitation to address both mental health and addiction concerns at the same time. Dual diagnosis is a very common situation for individuals involved with substance abuse, as those that have mental health issues frequently self medicate with drugs and alcohol to experience some form of temporary relief from their disorder. Dual diagnosis clients also reap the benefits of behavioral treatment which will help them develop far better coping methods so they are able to better handle life circumstances well after they depart dual diagnosis rehab as opposed to returning to drugs as an inferior solution.
