Medicaid is a form of health insurance available for many people who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to obtain this government provided insurance. Whether someone qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only determined by their earnings however, and individuals shouldn't presume they don't qualify because they earn a reasonable income. For example, individuals who have a lot of dependents may be eligible for Medicaid even if they make what can be described as a fair income. There are numerous alcohol and drug treatment facilities which accept Medicaid, but various states have different guidelines for what forms of treatment are covered. Some states only cover outpatient rehabilitation services for example while other states cover more extensive treatment such as a residential stay in long-term drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. If anyone is involved in substance abuse and needs help, they're able to use their Medicaid insurance coverage to obtain this help. If they do not have Medicaid and also don't have the cash or any other type of health insurance to cover rehab, they can find out if they qualify for Medicaid and then enroll in a drug rehab facility that's approved within their state.
