Medicare is a form of health insurance created by the U.S. government for older folks, in addition to those that have certain disabilities and sicknesses. When someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The one exception is, the individual must receive treatment from the alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to begin treatment, they will also have to see their physician who must state that rehab services are medically needed, and the doctor will usually approve which kind of rehabilitation the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab solutions. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual must be in a hospital for his or her issue, along with the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance or they will have to self pay.
