Medicare is a type of health insurance designed by the federal government for seniors, in addition to people who have specific disabilities and illnesses. If an individual that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The only catch is, the individual will have to acquire treatment from the drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to commence rehab, they can also get to visit their physician who must state that rehab services are medically needed, and the doctor will typically approve which kind of rehab the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program if the individual needs to be hospitalized for problem, and also the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
