Medicaid is a form of medical insurance available for those who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to obtain this government funded insurance coverage. Certain states only cover outpatient rehab services for instance while other states cover more intensive treatment such as a residential stay in long-term drug and alcohol rehab facility. If someone is involved in drug abuse and wants help, they can use their Medicaid insurance coverage to obtain this help. If they do not have Medicaid plus don't have the funds or another form of medical insurance to pay for rehab, they could check if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then sign up for a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility that is approved within their state.
