Medicare is a kind of health insurance designed by the U.S. government for seniors, in addition to those that have specific disabilities and illnesses. If an individual that has Medicare needs rehab for cases of substance abuse, their treatment will either be covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The one catch is, the individual must receive treatment from the alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to commence rehab, they will also have to see their medical doctor who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will generally approve which kind of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehab providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual must be hospitalized for their issue, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
