Medicare is a type of health insurance created by the government for older folks, as well as people with certain disabilities and diseases. If someone who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The only real catch is, the person will need to obtain treatment from your drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start rehabilitation, they can also get to visit their physician who must state that rehab services are medically necessary, and the physician will generally approve what type of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab solutions. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual should be hospitalized for their issue, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
