Offering gender-specific treatment services has shown to be beneficial in circumstances where conventional rehabilitation settings have fallen short, like coping with situations inside a women's life which can be unique and traumatic. Such concerns may have to do with sexual abuse, physical trauma, mental abuse, eating disorders, one's family and motherhood, or another serious issues that are particular to women. Studies show that women could also get embroiled in substance abuse more easily than men, and are more predisposed to sickness because of addiction issues than males consequently. Because of obligations in the home, women also tend to put off searching for and undergoing treatment, a situation which can lead to disaster. Being mindful of this, rehab services for women are designed to ensure a women's needs would be the concentration and priority.
