Medicare is a form of health care insurance created by the federal government for seniors, as well as those that have specific disabilities and diseases. If someone that has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only real exception is, the person will need to obtain treatment from the alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to commence rehab, they may also have to see their medical doctor who must state that treatment services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what type of rehab the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehab services. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual needs to be hospitalized because of their issue, as well as the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab in the Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
