Dual diagnosis rehabs are programs which provide rehabilitation to deal with both mental health and addiction issues concurrently. Rehabilitation counselors will work to recognize environmental factors in the client's life such as negative relationships or other things that should be addressed in order for the individual to stay mentally stable and sober t whenever they leave dual diagnosis rehab. Dual diagnosis clients also benefit from behavioral treatment that helps them develop more efficient coping methods so they are able to better handle life circumstances more effectively when they leave dual diagnosis rehab as opposed to turning to drugs and alcohol as a possible option.
