TRICARE is medical health insurance that's offered to people in the armed forces of the United States. Drug abuse inside the military is more common than one would think, and the need to provide treatment to these individuals is a priority. TRICARE covers many different rehabilitation services to address drug and alcohol dependence including detox services, and also treatment in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient programs. Individuals with TRICARE will of course need to get a prior approval before partaking in any type of treatment service, that may be arranged with their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient program could be the favored rehabilitation option, TRICARE will cover 21 days or one inpatient stay in this particular center per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits as to the length of time a TRICARE member can remain in the inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30-45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy which may be very beneficial, as it can certainly help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No member of the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are professional rehabilitation counselors ready to assist you today.
