Medicaid is a type of medical health insurance available for those who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government provided insurance. Whether someone qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only depend upon their earnings however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify simply because they earn an acceptable income. For instance, individuals who have a lot of dependents may qualify for Medicaid even when they make what would be considered a fair income. Medicaid could also cover the expenses of rehabilitation, if someone has been abusing alcohol or drugs and needs rehab. There are lots of alcohol and drug rehabilitation facilities which accept Medicaid, but different states have different guidelines for what types of rehabilitation are covered. Some states only cover outpatient rehabilitation services as an example while other states cover more intensive treatment such as a residential stay in long-term alcohol and drug rehab center. If anyone is involved with drug use and wants help, they are able to use their Medicaid insurance coverage to get this help. If they do not have Medicaid and in addition don't have enough cash or another type of medical health insurance to cover rehabilitation, they can see if they qualify for Medicaid and then enroll in an alcohol and drug rehab facility that is approved within their state.
