Offering gender-specific treatment services has shown to be beneficial in circumstances where conventional rehab facilities have fallen short, for example coping with situations in the women's life which can be distinctive and distressing. Such issues may relate to sexual abuse, physical abuse, psychological abuse, eating disorders, one's family members and motherhood, or other really serious issues that are specific to women. Research has shown that women can also get involved in drug abuse more readily than men, and so are more predisposed to sickness as a result of drug abuse problems than males consequently.
