Medicare is a type of health insurance created by the government for older persons, as well as those that have certain disabilities and diseases. If an individual who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The only real catch is, the person will need to acquire treatment from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start treatment, they can also get to see their primary care physician who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the doctor will generally approve what type of treatment the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehab services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual needs to be hospitalized for his or her issue, and the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
