Being diagnosed with HIV/AIDS may trigger drug use, or risky sexual conduct due to drug abuse could have caused the individual to contract the illness. People who have HIV/AIDS, either due to their drug use or as a pre-existing condition just before their drug abuse problem, typically require treatment services tailored to satisfy their specific demands and challenges. Some challenges are physical in nature, because of the fact that substance abusers with HIV/AIDS rarely take care of themselves and take the appropriate medicines they need to preserve their own health.
