Medicare is a form of medical health insurance designed by the federal government for older folks, and also people who have specific disabilities and sicknesses. When someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of substance abuse, their treatment will be either covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The only catch is, the individual will have to obtain treatment coming from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start rehab, they can also get to see their primary care physician who must state that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve which kind of treatment the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehab services. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual has to be hospitalized because of their issue, and also the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
