Hearing impaired individuals generally have an increased probability of drug abuse issues because of their impairment, and rehab services must be available to them which cater to their circumstances. Nonetheless, drug and alcohol treatment counselors who provide rehab to hearing impaired individuals understand the challenges these clients face.
