Medicaid is a form of health care insurance available for individuals who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to obtain this government provided insurance coverage. Whether or not a person qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only depend upon income however, and individuals shouldn't assume they don't qualify just because they make a fair income. For instance, individuals who have many dependents may be entitled to Medicaid even when they make what can certainly be a fair income. Medicaid could also cover the price of rehabilitation, when someone has been abusing drugs or alcohol and needs rehab. There are lots of drug treatment centers which accept Medicaid, but various states have different guidelines for what types of treatment are covered. Certain states only cover outpatient treatment services as an example while other states cover more intensive rehab say for example a residential stay in long-term alcohol and drug treatment facility. If anyone is involved with substance abuse and needs help, they could use their Medicaid health coverage to obtain this help. If they do not have Medicaid and also don't have the cash or some other form of health insurance to cover rehabilitation, they can see if they qualify for Medicaid and then enroll in a drug rehabilitation center that is approved inside their state.
