TRICARE covers a number of rehabilitation services to address alcohol and drug dependence like detox services, along with treatment in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient programs. People who have TRICARE will of course be asked to have a prior approval before taking part in any kind of rehab service, which may be arranged using their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient center could be the preferred rehabilitation choice, TRICARE will cover 21 days or one inpatient stay in that facility per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are certain limits as to just how long a TRICARE member can stay within an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30-45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy which can be very helpful, as it may help include family members in the healing and process of recovery. No person in the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are professional rehab counselors waiting to assist you today.
