Medicaid is a form of medical insurance available for individuals who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government funded insurance coverage. Whether a person qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only depend on income however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify simply because they make a good income. As an example, individuals who have quite a few dependents may be eligible for Medicaid even if they make what might certainly be a fair income. Certain states only cover outpatient rehabilitation services for example while other states cover far more extensive rehab like a residential stay in long-term drug rehabilitation center. If a person is involved in drug abuse and desires help, they can use their Medicaid insurance coverage to get this treatment. If they don't have Medicaid plus don't have the funds or some other kind of health care insurance to pay for rehab, they can check if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then sign up for a drug rehabilitation program which is approved within their state.
