Medicare is a sort of health care insurance developed by the U.S. government for senior citizens, along with those that have specific disabilities and sicknesses. When someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of substance abuse, their treatment will either be covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The only real catch is, the person must obtain treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start rehab, they may also have to see their primary care physician who must state that treatment services are medically needed, and the doctor will typically approve what type of treatment the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehab providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual should be in a hospital because of their issue, and also the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
