Medicare is a type of health care insurance created by the federal government for older persons, and also people with certain disabilities and diseases. If a person who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only catch is, the individual will need to receive treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start rehab, they will also have to see their medical doctor who must declare that rehab services are medically necessary, and the doctor will generally approve which kind of rehabilitation the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of treatment services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual needs to be hospitalized for their problem, and the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they've got to self pay.
