Medicaid is a form of health care insurance available for individuals who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government provided insurance coverage. Whether or not an individual is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only depend upon income however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify just because they make a fair income. If a person is involved in substance abuse and desires help, they could use their Medicaid health coverage to get this treatment. If they don't have Medicaid plus don't have the money or another type of health insurance to cover rehabilitation, they can find out if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then enroll in an alcohol and drug rehab facility that is approved within their state.
