LGBT represents lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and there are centers which address the unique needs of these clients. People who are LGBT can feel alone, misunderstood, and viewed as socially depraved. This is sometimes a very hard and painful existence, and leads many LGBT people to a lifestyle of drug use to alleviate these feelings. Somebody who is LGBT might not feel at ease within a conventional rehab facility amongst folks who aren't experiencing the same problems they are experiencing of their lives. A LGBT program offers an environment which can be free of judgment, where LGBT clients can be totally safe and comfortable divulging to their peers and treatment counselors problems which should be resolved to be able to get well. Rehabilitation counselors in a LGBT rehab will help clients repair relationships with their loved ones, in the event their loved ones disagree with their sexual preference as is usually the case.
