Medicare is a type of health insurance created by the government for older folks, in addition to people with specific disabilities and diseases. If a person that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The one catch is, the individual will have to receive treatment coming from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start rehab, they may also have to visit their primary care physician who must state that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the doctor will usually approve what type of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation solutions. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program in the event that the individual has to be hospitalized for problem, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
