Medicare is a type of health insurance designed by the government for seniors, along with people who have certain disabilities and illnesses. If someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only real exception is, the person must receive treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin rehabilitation, they will also have to visit their medical doctor who must declare that treatment services are medically necessary, and the physician will typically approve what sort of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of treatment providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual needs to be hospitalized because of their problem, along with the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
